ABOUT

Salthaze Bed & Breakfast is situated on the sea front at Meols on the Wirral coast overlooking the beach to Liverpool Bay and the Burbo Wind Farm. On clear days the mountains of the south lakes and Blackpool tower are visible.
The Merseyrail train station is a 10 minute walk away, where there is a regular service into Liverpool city centre taking about 20 mins. There you can also connect to Intercity lines. Liverpool and Manchester Airport are approx 45 mins drive. Liverpool Cruise Terminal is approx 20 mins.

The Wirral "The Leisure Penninsular" has many Golf courses, a marine lake for watersports, several sailing clubs, sand yachting, kite surfing, horse riding and a number of sports centres. as well as many coastal and country side walks and cycle paths.

This area has plenty of restaraunts, bars, cinemas and theatres within easy access by foot, car, bus or train.

The Snowdonia National Park, The Peak District and Lake District are all within an hour and a half's drive. The bird sanctuary Hilbre Island, situated at the entrance to the Dee Estuary with views across to North Wales is a brisk walk at low tide.

This space really has the WOW factor!  - Access via it's own separate staircase to a large bedroom with floor to ceiling windows, a king size double bed, a sofa to relax on and a free standing bath, all with uninterrupted views out to sea. Sliding doors open onto a large roof terrace with table & chairs where there are glorious views of the sunset between March and October. The room is equipped with electric rc blinds, a flat screen TV and tea/coffee making facilities as well as a connecting dressing room with hanging space and a separate ensuite shower/WC.
Breakfast is included and there is parking for one vehicle on the drive.
A short walk into Hoylake or drive into West Kirby, and there are many bars and resaraunts.

 Roger and Kate were brilliant hosts. Our expectations were exceeded with flexible check-in and a superb breakfast before check-out. If you're staying on the Wirral anytime soon, this is a perfect loaction for the lovely coast-line and a short walk for the train to get around the local areas (incl. Liverpool and Chester).

 Ros The house is in a stunning location and the views from the room were superb. The house was very clean and the garden a lovely place to have breakfast. I booked it last minute and Roger was very accommodating and replied straight away to messages. A bonus was an excellent breakfast cooked by Roger. They were lovely hosts and I would definitely go back again. Highly recommend it.

 Karen Simmons I had a really lovely stay at Salthaze. I was visiting friends in the area and stayed for 4 nights. The room was amazing, very clean and spacious with stunning views of the sunset over the water. It was really well equipped with everything you could possibly need. Roger and Kate are friendly hosts and the fantastic breakfast was an unexpected bonus. I will definitely be returning

 We had an incredible stay, the accommodation and views were even better than the photos. The hosts were friendly and welcoming and the breakfast each morning was perfect. We were close to a great pub, shop and railway station. It’s a great location to both relax and explore the local area. We can’t recommend staying here enough, and will definitely be back.

 Kate and Roger went above and beyond to make our stay relaxing and comfortable! They had every detail taken care of— offering rides to/from the train station, golf tournament, dinner, etc. Breakfast was so lovely and ready whenever we wanted.  Roger and Kate could not have done more to make our stay any more enjoyable. We stayed in order to visit The Open Golf Tournament and Roger drove us to the venue and came to collect us at 10pm from a Bistro where we had an evening meal. Prior to our visit Roger contacted us to offer an extra of a home cooked evening meal when we arrived. It was superb.!

 You could not wish for welcoming and accomodating hosts. The house was beautiful and the accommodation was breathtaking, .overlooking the Irish Sea. Often the minor details can overshadow the overall impression but Roger and Kate had thought of everything; and by the way, the poached eggs were perfect! We would love to see them again.
